Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinid - Voria

I know not to expect a species level identification with one of these, there's just not enough detail. But can anyone help narrow it down to a genus?

Looks like Voria ruralis to me :)

EDIT: ... from the steeply angled m-cu, hairy r1 and lack of median discals ... plus a few other things :)

Distributions are a bit difficult to resolve because we don't have many recorders from the north - but they are one of the commoner tachinids in the UK so I wouldn't be surprised if they were found quite often up there too :)
