Andre - best to re-name this thread "Bombyliidae" - that will attract the experts on this family.

Hi there, again from the most southern Island of the Balearic Islands FORMENTERA this "golden" insect. Found 26th of Sept. 2010 in light pine wood, with Juniperus oxycedrus, Erica multiflora.www.formentera-forum.de/FOREN/10.09.28.jpg
Anybody who can help with identification?

This is a Villa. Maybe not a bad idea for another species to begin with a new thread.
