Hello,

I had a fly identified as Neuroctena anilis last year, it was a poor photo though on a window. These look the same, this time I only managed the one reasonable photo but have cropped the two flies closer.

The dead creature is a shrew found in my garden, south of Lincoln UK. The shrew disappeared later.

Janet :)
