Could anyone please give an ID for this fly? I have never seen one before.

To my unexperienced eye, it looks like
Tachina fera/magnicornis.
Tachinidae anyway.

Tachina fera ... we don't have
magnicornis in the UK (yet) and the fore tarsi in this photo are orange :)
