Dear All
I have no experience in adults whatsoever, but the project I'm working on is very interesting (aquatic invertebrates from the Tholen, The Netherlands), so perhaps this is also an interesting fly.
I hope anyone can tell me what this fly may be, and if it's interesting enough.
Thanks
Ton

I don't think it is a rare species in the Netherlands but rather an overlooked one. I have encountered it a couple of times near Phragmites but I am not certain it is restricted to it. I cannot check now but I think I have seen it on a few occasions away from Phragmites in tussocks. Yet, I may be confusing it with the brachypterous Anthomyzidae now.
