Hello
Photo put on the French forum.
Photographed in the South of France to Lunel near Montpellier.
It looks like Australian Tachinidae.
Size ~7 mm

Looks like Euthera tuckeri, Phasiinae that I observed in Japan. If I remember correctly it was inroduced to Japan as well from North America.

Hmm, amazing fly - it does look like a
Euthera but I have very little experience with them so would need to take advice on that :) Any chance that a specimen was taken?

Sadly, no. It flew away after the first picture (it happens frequently).

Pretty north for an Euthera.
Need to check my colleciton, I have 2 of them (tuckeri included)
