Hi,
Taken on 29th August 2010, a few miles south of Lincoln UK. I only got one good pic after turning up the leaf, then they jumped.
Approx. 3mm.
Is it possible to say this is correct?
Janet :)

I do not think that they are P. maculipes, since this species has antennae completely black, while the flies on the photo have antennae with, it appears, first 2 segments red-yellowish.
Perhaps Paul can be more positive which species they actually belong. I can't.

I do not think I can give an ID from this picture.
