Hello dipterofans,
I guess this is a difficult one - but would it be possible to ID this tiny Empis?
I found
Empis levis to be a close match but there are soooo many to choose from in this genus... :|

Date-wise I would say
Empis aestiva but leg chaetotaxy is indeed more reminiscent of
levis. Have a better lateral shot or perhaps even the specimen?

Nice try but the tip of the abdomen is just obscured so no joy there. If at all possible with the smaller flies: try to collect them for ID.
