Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Micropezidae (?) from southern India

These flies were clustering in numbers on a rotting fallen _Carica papaya_ trunk. They show aggressive posturing chasing males and pursuing females and it seems like the male guards the female when it is ovipositing.
