Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae?

Is it possible to name this one? It was hanging around a Tachina fera, but was smaller.

Do you have more angles? Skinny T.fera lookalikes like that can be Linnaemya vulpina or Pelateria sp. and I would favour Peleteria but they are not common here :)

Thanx! I'll look further into your suggestions. I have a few more pics, but I'm afraid they are all from the same angle.

Tricky then ... to confirm Peleteria I would have to see the face clearly to look for Peleteria-bristles :)

I see ocellar bristles and moreover the praealar bristle is strong. Both exclude Peleteria. My money is on Frontina laeta (but still, a lateral would be very helpfull)

Ouch, yes ... that's a good call. I wouldn't have guessed Frontina but they are a bit unfamiliar to me still :)
