I think it is just too anonymous ... I certainly didn't see *anything* that I could say about it except that it is a male tachinid ;) Ask him if he took a specimen :D

Unfortunately many Spanish don't collect. Also it is strictly forbidden to collect any insect. If a police/guard caught you collecting you will receive a very high penalty (uunless you have the permission which it is not easy to have!).. and then you see them killing taurus, doing an intensive construction of buildings in sand dunes (even in protected zones!), etc. Doube standards.

Yeah, I agree ... classic example of making the entomologist into the enemy while politicians profit from developer's destroying wildlife habitats ... but with no entomologists allowed to work there is nobody to monitor the destruction :(

.. I had no problem with mine; as far as I know if you say you´re studying them and you´re not a simple collector who catches flies as stamps for a beatiful box they give it to you (but you must ask for it first, of course ;). In this case, JM. Sesma is a specialist in Lepidoptera and he doesen´t need to capture them, he just uses his camera, but I asked him for more pics. Thanks again.
