Hello!

Phaonia pallida is very numerous these days (see second pic). But this one from our garden (northwest Germany) seemed a little bit bigger to me. Also its abdomen was somehow dark, and I never noticed such a yellow wing margin with P. pallida.

This is Phaonia pallida, simple variation.
