This Diptera impressed me with its almost pure metallic sheen. It was in the house in central Maine in August 2010. First post and photo is not up to par for this website. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Calliphoridae,
you can change the thread title and it will be more likely to be seen by someone with knowledge on this family (usually only possible to get a genus name, if anything, from a photo such as this).
