Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ectophasia crassipennis?? > yes

Today I found these flies on our property (Saint Gilles, Indre, France). Could it be Ectophasia crassipennis or is that impossible to see?

21-07-2010, La Fontouret.

This is the male I think?

And could this be the female. She was much smaller then the male.

Well, there are similar species and I only see these rarely when they are sent to me so I am not an *expert* ... but I'd call these E.crassipennis on what I can see ... if you want a better identification then send me some specimens :D ;)

the male is certainly crassipennis
