Thread subject: Diptera.info :: little unknown fly

hi flyforum,

This fly was on bark a bark of Alnus.
It's a small fly, ~ 2-3 mm.

Any idea what kind of fly?

Looks like Dolichopodidae; Campsicnemus sp. maybe...

That's probably because SWMBO put a cartoon on the mirror on how she would have liked you to be. :D

A Medetera species, maybe M. truncorum from East Turkey from this forum: http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=31782
Turkish specimens recorded on lower parts of tree bark of Salix babylonica and observed as good hunters on Chironomid flies.
