Thread subject: Diptera.info :: small black bristly fly

From my garden, 7mm long. Hypopleural bristles present. From the shape of M1 and it's large feet it looks like a small calliphorid.

Thanks Chris. I hadn't realised that they could be so small. Looking through other postings, could it be Amobia sp.?

Sarcophaga sp., probably subgenus Heteronychia. Have you got a pic from the side?
