Hi,
On flowers of
Pastinaca sativa I saw this Tachinid today and first thought it was
Dinera grisescens. But
Dinera's abdomen has no yellow side parts, and the scutellum is not yellowish. Also the arista seems to be longer. Unfortunately the photos are not very good quality because of the wind, but nevertheless I hope for ID!
Many thanks, Sundew

I have been confused by
Dinera grisescens in the past - they are both the same size and have grey/brown dusting and have 2 pairs of scutellar bristles. But
Dinera has a plumose arista, while in
Solieria they are bare :)
