Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Atylotus rusticus - female (again)?

Today I saw this big-heades Atylotus. Could it be Atylotus rusticus female? It lookes very much the same as the one I saw a few weeks ago (09-06-2010).

Can anyone confirm this?

I am sorry, I keep forgetting to mention that. But (nearly) all my observations are made on our "Domaine de la Fontouret", Saint Gilles, Indre, France. About 300 km south of Paris.

Yes, this should be rusticus

Latistriatus can be very similar, but not to be expected at your locality

There are not many pictures of A. rusticus in the gallery. Are these pictures good enough to contribute to the gallery?
