Hello all,

A difficult one I guess. Is this anthomyiidae and if possible which species?

There's a hint of small hairs under the scutellum.

Pic taken 11-07-2010 in Hasselt, Belgium.

Thanks all!

You did your best with lots of nice sharp photos!
But with this one i needed a sharp view from the hindtibia and the midtars......but you could not know..:D
On the last photo i think i can see a row of pv, 1pd on midtibia, notopleuron not haired (from what i can see).....so i think Delia platura or florilega could be possible
Delia platura has quite some hairs on thorax and Delia florilega less.
When i compare this one with the species i have, i would say...Delia florilega, but then there should be some long hairs on the midtars (see photo)
Maybe you have another photo where we could see those hairs...or not:(

Thanks for your explanation Joke - it is really helpful! :D
Next time I'll focus on the legs. B)

Here's a pic of the midtars. No long hairs... Delia platura?

Hmmm.....for now indeed Delia platura
Maybe you will meet the fly again, or at least one of his many brothers...:D
