Found on hogweed today. Prosternum bare.

I don't think : the hind tibia doesn't seem very bent, I can't see neither the spine-like brisle beneath mid femur, neither the brush of setae on hind tarsus... and it has too much strong and long posterior setae on fore tibia : it is more likely
M. hortorum.

Thanks Stephane. I'm confused about the curved tibia. Gregor et al says it is the hind
femur which is strongly curved in M.aenescens.
