Hi,
can anyone suggest a species this small fly ?
I take the photo on 2 July 2010 Kokkola Finland.

Cylindromya sp. there are severeal similar species within this group.

Certainly
Cylindromyia - it looks like one of the smaller species - I can't see enough features but it seems to fit
C.interrupta more than the others ... but would be nice to have a specimen and eliminate any doubt ;)

It is a fairly common species in Finland :) We'd need to check whether it has: pv-bristle on hind tibia & apical scutellars missing :)
