Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Dolichopidae ID

Not sure if further ID is possible. Small dolichopid fly taken yesterday on leaves above a small pond - about 5mm body length - South coast UK. Not sure if the pale colour is normal or if it has recently emerged.

Given the habitat its almost certainly a
Sciapus platypterus female.
