Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Atylotus fulvus/loewianus (France)?? -> A. rusticus

This big Tabanidae-fly I found yesterday in La Fontouret, Indre, France. Last year I found also two Atylotus flies, male (A.fulvus) and female (Atylotus fulvus/loewianus). I think this is also a female A.fulvus/loewianus. Is that right or am I completely wrong?
Or could it be A. rusticus?

Thank you very much Galeodes. The problem is that I find it hard to see the difference between the two, or maybe it is not possible to see it from the pictures.
Today I saw this male Atylotus fly. Maybe this is easier to identify. I think it is A. fulvus?

The femora are yellow in fulvus and loewianus.
SO this clearly is rusticus.
The male is either rusticus or latistriatus.

Thank you very much Theo for the identification. I knew it was difficult. I read that A. latistriatus is a fly of coastal/saltmarshes. We are living in the middle of France, the Indre. So can that be a reason to say that it is probably not latistriatus? A. rusticus seems more probable, since there are also females here?
I have more pictures. Is there anything visible possible to ID this one by picture?

I agree.
The female is definitely rusticus and the male looks like rusticus, so it is more than likely rusticus.
Latistriatus is indeed halophile and so coastal, though in the south these species tend to be less coastal than in the north. Still, all latistriatus from France I saw was from the coast.
