Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sciomyzidae? -> Chyliza vittata (Psilidae)

Hello,

this beautiful fly is from some days ago from near Grevenbroich (western germany). I don't really know where I should begin the search. What fly is it? It was about 8mm long.

This is a Psilidae : I think Chyliza vittata.

Thank you for your answer. I see that Chyliza vittata is a parasite of Epipactis palustris. This orchid is indeed very common at this place.
