c1.8mm, Lancashire England 2 June 2010 on grass near to river.

A bit beyond my photographic abilities, but is there enough information to get anywhere with this?

I caught them both, but one (the girl) escaped later. I have not succeeded with the camera but could do better with the microscope if I knew what to look for. In life the yellow central part of the scutellum appeared bright ivory-white like the halteres.

There are 4dcs (all postsutural), the anterior two weaker; and two pairs of bristles on the scutellum.

Thank you Milos. Does this help? Anything else I could check on the specimen? I'll try to take a better photo of the wing.

Stephen.

I think this is probably the best I can do.
