The antennae are relatively short compared to the length of the face, so I would suggest a species of Cistogaster - this one appears to be a male from the yellow dusting on the thorax.

I was rather thinking about Eliozeta heluo / Clytomya continua (always hesitating between the two).

Yeah, I would guess Eliozeta but I am always fooled by these until I get a specimen in my hand :)

Thanks for the replies....Unfortunately I don't have the specimen, but I'm sure I will catch a specimen.

Right now I returned from the field and I have collected some interesting tahinids and not only.I will upload the photos later ;)

They seem to be relatively common in the warmer parts of Europe but we don't get Eliozeta here and Clytiomya is very rare. I would advise to catch quite a few (at least 2-6 every 2-4 weeks) because you have a few possible species and it is useful to have males & females ... the same goes for all Cylindromyia and Gymnosoma that *look* identical because you will have many different species through the year. :)

I will collect some specimens, hope to find more here.

Pictures of flies will have to wait till tomorrow (now I have some problems with camera batteries ):S
