Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Small tachinid-like fly?

This next one reminds me a lot of a tachinid fly but was rather small. It held a territory on a sycamore leaf.

Yes, looks like a tachinid but I am not sure which (maybe something like Lypha dubia?)- need more detail really :) When was it seen?

Hi Chris
I saw it (or perhaps 2 different individuals) on the 15th and 16th May. It was an in area of smallish sycamore trees sheltered behind a building, in a rural area of East Lothian.
