Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Stratiomyiidae: Beris sp.? (May-10, 2010) --> B. chalybata

Hello!

Sorry for the bad picture quality. These dark 5-6 mm Stratiomyiids were abundant here (northwest Germany) at the forest this week (I saw only males). Beris cf. clavipes?

I'd guess B. chalybata. I think B. clavipes has a striking orange abdomen.
