Thread subject: Diptera.info :: two Empidids of today (short proboscis)

Hi,
I hesitated a bit to show these pics, they are of bad quality (there was no good light). However, Paul might recognize at least I group, so I try. I put both species into one thread, as they belong to the same family and perhaps also genus.

Top is Rhamphomyia, either atra or perhapstarsata. Bottom: Hilara sp.

I feel I should have a deeper look into wing venation... :| If I only had some literature, my fly atlas by Haupt & Haupt depicts wings only for discrimination between families. However, I learned that R4+5 is unbranched in Rhamphomyia, so I shall avoid a mix-up with Hilara in the future!
