Hello, Josef!

B. clavipes is an autumn species. Experts will hopefully tell, what species this fly is...

Hi Jürgen,
right. So it might be Bibio lanigerus?
Best wishes, Josef

Hi, Josef!

B. lanigerus is frequent here these days, but I mostly see the females with their strikingly red legs. On this picture in the gallery also the male has partially red legs: http://www.dipter...oto_id=866.
As I wrote: better wait for the experts...

Tibiae are very dark and veins rather prominent.
Might be reticulatus.
Need to check the collection.
