Photographed in the Netherlands 14-5-2010. Bergen (N.H.)
On a leaf of a pear tree. Tachinidae, but I think it will be difficult to find the species.

Best regards,
Thijs

I dare a guess: Phorocera obscura (I think I see a fold coming out of the bend of vein M and a dark scutellum). But there may be similar species, so let's wait for experts' opinion!

P.obscura was my first guess too - but I have been wrong on these a few times because they are fairly uncommon here :)

Thanks !!
I have (like last year) many Phorocera obscuras in the garden. But I did not recognize this fly.

Thijs
