Looks like a Phaonia to my inexpert eye; if so I can't seem to key it out. Help please.

subventa I think. Compare to this, in much better light:

Allso if you check the one in galery here on diptera it looks the same as yours.

thanks for trying but it's not subventa, I know that one - photographed a few recently - amongst other things subventa has presutural acrostichals.

Not Phaonia (no pd seta on distal third of hind tibia). I think it is Mydaea urbana (not certified at all, just by appearance).
