is this
Rhamphomyia? if so which?
Caught Surrey, UK in May, on vegetation on the Banks of the River Mole.
I tried to key this using Collin (1961) and got very lost.
Scale 10 = 1mm

Check Rhamphomyia laevipes, Collin's book p. 409.
Best regards,

Many thanks Igor
That is much better than what I was keying too. I will need to go backward though Collins Key to see where I was going wrong.
My only hesitation is
Rhamphomyia laevipes rather uncommon in the UK, (at least as reported on NBN http://www.dipteristsforum.org.uk/sgb_nbn_map.php?id=NBNSYS0000012382 ) There are also very minor differences from my specimens genitalia and the Collins but these could be down to Collin drawing being taken from a flattened slide mount?
