4mm, Clitheroe Lancashire 17/4/10.
Sorry about the quality of the first shot - I had the wrong camera settings. These were flying in a loose swarm by a hawthorn (Crataegus) tree and settling on the tree and nearby wall. I found some more yesterday in another place behaving in the same way, this time on a holly tree. I struggled to key the genus, and ended up looking through Ackland's genitalia plates till I found the right one :S

When costa is bare and midtibia has an ad (and mesolobus seems black and shining) ....it is!

Glad I'm not the only one finding the genitalia plates a superb resource - a real timesaver - although I use the keys once I've made a choice.
