what species is the fly on enclosed three photos. These were taken today - the fly was sitting
in the last year´s dead inflorescence. Thank to all who determine this specimen.

Something like Phasia obesa perhaps? Really we need a dorsal shot because not enough is visible.

I agree, looks like a male Phasia obesa but I'd like to see a pic of the wing and dorsal of the thorax.
