Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Limoniidae

Hello, can someone tell which genus this limoniid belongs to? I thought the wing venation might help to tell the genus. Can this be Limonia? It was found yesterday in the Netherlands.

Trichoceridae; Trichocera sp. Male I think.

There should be ocelli in Trichoceridae, but I can't find them?? Eyes not hairy.

Well, Roger, not everyone has guts to admit they were wrong :)
It's not a trichocerid indeed, some kind of Limoniidae, but I'm not good at distinguishing those...

Dicranomyia, most probably D. (s.str.) mitis.
