Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Lispocephala brachialis?

This keys out to Lispocephala brachialis, but as it is a Red Data Book species in Britain, I would appreciate a second opinion, please. The specimen is in alcohol, so no dusting shows up.

It is the second one I've caught this year, basking in sun on poles in my garden in Menai Bridge, North Wales. The first was 24 Feb. This one was last week, mid-March.

Is anything known of the larval habitat, please?

More pictures to come. I don't know how to attach more than one to a message.

Thanks very much for the confirmation.

These seem to the the third and fourth Welsh records.
