I realy getting grazy sometimes with those A.pluvialis / procellaris...
Two female like to be A.pluvialis, but with the male i have doubt, but when found on the same place , we should presume it would be also A.pluvialis.
I realy have to examine those two species....:o
For now...Anthomyia pluvialis for the female
Anthomyia cf pluvialis for the male

It isn't easy to name these Anthomyia species from photos. The locality also needs to be taken into account.
The 1st photo is probably a female of A. procellaris or bazini (rare) or quinquemaculata, this is a southern locality. The 2nd photo is probably A. pluvialis female. The 3rd is a male of procellaris or even bazini or quinquemaculata. There are other characcters one needs to look at in close up to determine the males including the genitalia and especially sternite 5 in profile. Females are even more difficult, so one shouldn't be too hopeful to be able to put a name to a photo. If you really want a definite det you will have to catch one and put it under the microscpe.
