Today (21 March) in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Grass land with pond. On southward oriented slope, feeding on Erophila verna. Medium-small sized fly.

Suggestions was made this could be Melinda spec. Confirmation/correction welcome!

Looks like Muscidae...maybe Musca sp.

i thought in Morellia sp. but the M1 vein seems to bend sharply. So Melinda sp. male. Also the presence of strong pre-sutural achrostical bristles are not visible in Morellia (not sure) ... and here they are well visible. I have no keys here, at the moment.
Wait for confirmation, though.
