Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphidae: Eupeodes corollae or luniger?

I think this is one or the other, but can anyone tell me which one and how I can tell the difference in future?

Photographed on 20.6.09 feeding on a rose flower in Wiltshire, southwest UK.

I'd say E. luniger is correct. That because the yellow stains don't reach the side of the fly and because there's a black Y on the head. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Many thanks... That's what i made it first time out, but then lost confidence as the two look very similar to me, but thanks for the pointers on how to separate them.
