Thread subject: Diptera.info :: [Macquartia female looks like tenebricosa] - Tachinidae

With 3 post DC, black legs and inner edge of the calyptrae lying close to the thorax, is it a female of Macquartia tenebricosa/chalconota ?

I can't be sure, but looks like female M. tenebricosa

Do you think tenebricosa rather than chalconota because it's more common, or did you see a feature ? (I can't see if there are 2 dorsal marginal bristles on tergite 2)

I can't be sure, but I see very little dusting on tergites.
