Hello,
Emerged from fruit of Asteracea (maybe Sonchus sp), May, Southern France.
Is it Tephritis matricariae?
Is the arrowed white bristle the posterior notopleural bristle?

Yest, it is p npl seta. And it might be matricariae as well. First, try Merz 1994 Fauna Helvetica Key, which is the most comprehensive one, and the only reliable one. I shall try to return to this post later.
