Hallo dear Diptera friends,
last year at the 27th of Sept. I found this red flie in a forest in Germany, Schleswig Holstein, near Ratzeburg.
Is it possible to determinate it?

Hello Paul,
do you see my picture now? I see it well and I think pwalter also (sorry, I don't know your name)?
Is more possible than Phaonia?

Rather surprisingly his name is Walter / Valter or pronounced Falter in Germany :P His surname is Pfliegler
Roger (Not my REAL name)

I thought Walter was the familyname:| and was looking for something like Paul or Pawel as the first name.
Phaonia looks good.

A nice Phaonia rufiventris

We Hungarians put the family name before the 'first' name :) As Linné did :) And this is the logical way, by the way :P
Regards, Pfliegler Walter
PS: Roger managed to create some anagrams of my name :D I think with a little Computer-help.

Hello again,
after some rest from your jokes :D I want to thank you Joke for the name of my flie.
And of course thanks to the others to let me smile (mostly about my own blockheadedness);)
