Don't think so, much smaller and no deep orange cheeks.

The first one seems to be another fly, like a Melinda.
Second one is more likely a Calliphora vomitoria (basicosta is black, red beard).

Finnaly, it should be the same fly, just a bit more lightened on second picture, and the deflection of vein M is too "smooth" for a Calliphora. So Melinda is my guess.

That's what I thought, but my memory could have failed me. :)

Can I ask what is needed to id Melinda spp., or should I settle with sp. like with Pollenia?

Thank you.

I can't see a lot of features to give a definte ID, but it seems to have a presutural intra-alar, the frons is rather wide, I would say (if I was forced to) M. gentilis.

Great, I will cf. it then,

Could you make something out of this: http://diptera.in...d_id=24358 (I have some slightly different angles of the male, if needed)

Sorry for that :)
