I found this among my photos from Northumberland at the end of July. Is it a tachinid?
EDIT: Not Northumberland but Arncliffe, N Yorkshire,

Rather wasted on me then :D
All tachinids are new to me this year! I'll sort some pics for the Gallery soon to go with Jari's pinned specimen.

Well, we have had a few records sent in for 2009, which seems a bit more than usual ... but then again we had a few more nice species in 2009 so it was probably a good year all round :)
