Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fanniidae Fannia sp.?

I'm not at all sure about this as I found one which looked like mine on a site which could easily be wrong.;) It was Eutrichota socculata, this was quite a small fly, no pics elsewhere to compare.

Two pics taken on 23rd April 2009, my garden near Lincoln UK.

I am no expert in calyptrate flies but i think it could be a fanniidae.

Thanks for that Jon, it didn't look right to me either! Off to look at Fannidae..:P

It looks similar to Fannia serena or F. sociella, I will change the title but we have a lot of Fannia sp, here!
