Hello together,

can this fly be identified? I thougt it to be a tachinid, but Jürgen Peters on insektenfotos.de wrote that it is either Muscidae or Anthomyiidae. Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinate, 53572 Unkel, River Rhine valley, dry and warm climat, 24. 10. 2009.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

I don´t know why I always have problems in attaching an image to my threads; here it can be seen:

With the orange frons this must be a female of Anthomyiidae.

Anthomyiidae is correct. A female. Looks like a Pegomya testacea.

Thank you, Lars and Joke!

Then I think, Í make a "Pegomya sp." out of it.
