Do you have any idea of what species this should be?
If needed a better picture of any detail, please ask.
Found alive at a window, and after sacrified, the 26-08-2009, at Can Grau, Beuda, Girona province, Spain, UTM 31T DG7477, 400 m.

You will not find it among soldier flies. You should look for Xylotini, Syrphidae.
