Hi,
here is another fly with reddish abdomen.
Is it possible to classify it?
Furth im Wald, Bavaria, Germany, marsh area, 2007-07-21

Thanks
Ingrid

Looks like Eriothrix rufomaculata to me :) It's a very common species with: shaded wings; a median-vein petiole; red abdominal side patches of varying sizes; protruding silvery mouth edge; and 4 black longitudinal thoracic stripes (vittae).
