Location: Switzerland, 412 müM, on balcony (on aster)
date: 24.10.09, today
size: about 8 mm ?
This one has no black antennae, I can't find a really similar pic in Gallery. Also in reason of the strapes on abdomen.
Does anyone know the species?
Thank you and regards, Brigitte

Scathophaga furcata would be my guess. But I'm no expert and these are difficult.

Don't think it's
S.furcata Lars, they have dark marking on front femur. The only one in the Gallery that comes close is
S.suilla, might not be it either though.

Roger is right about
furcata, this also should have bare arista. I'd suggest
S.lutaria or
S.inquinata, though
suilla also possible.

Thank you very much !
it seems difficult with this one . . . so should be Scatophaga sp?
From time to time I'm looking after my "older" threads, so any ID at a later date will be found and welcome.
